Routine gives children a sense of security necessary for confident exploration, discovery, and learning.  Our environment allows young children to make choices and take risks creating new and exciting learning opportunities.  During the infant and toddler years of development, play is an essential component to learning basic motor, intellectual, and emotional readiness.  The Bricks 4 Kidz nursery program allows ample time and opportunity for free play and discovery within a predictable and well-structured routine.

All staff at the Bricks 4 Kidz Nursery & Preschool are certified in the Active Parenting approach and are equipped to handle classroom management in a positive and non-punitive way.  Learn more about Active Parenting here.

Nursery Curriculum

Although  the nursery program does not have a classroom component in the traditional sense, children from the ages of 3 months to 2 years are introduced to S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering, and math) principled learning with LEGO bricks.  Children are encouraged to explore, build, disassemble, and learn with hands-on guided play with LEGO.  Duplo (large size) stations are available in the nursery for your child’s enjoyment and development.   Our nursery program is bilingual and children are immersed into the Arabic and English languages.  Your child will get to know and love two head ECE (early childhood education) professionals, one proficient in Arabic and the other in English respectively,  who alternate on a weekly basis.

Goals

Your child will:

  • Engage in pro-social behaviors including cooperating, helping, taking turns, and talking (or attempting to verbalize) to solve problems.
  • Engage in activities that are designed to foster children’s self-esteem and positive feelings toward learning.
  • Learn about emotions and how to safely express their feelings.
  • Practice self-help skills with the support and guidance of the ECE professional.
  • Are encouraged to participate in song and learn about numbers, letters, and phonics.
  • Engage in hands-on and sensory type learning activities (dough, water play, manipulatives, art, blocks).
